So I did the almost unimaginable. I said “babe, I hate to do it, but I’m getting eaten alive out here.” She said “tell me something I don’t know!” We laughed, but I had to insist, “nah babe, flies. Mosquitoes. Everything. Let’s get set up inside first, eh?”

She relented, and we started hauling our gear from the trunk to the cottage. Real fast, like a horny lightning bolt, I busted out and downed a Cialis. Then I took my time hauling gear in, turning lights on, putting brews in the fridge, and all that cottagey crap. By the time it was done, let me just say that my “delicate condition” from before had metamorphosed into an “indelicate situation,” if you catch my drift. I cornered Jenny – or did she corner me? – and man oh man, kiddo swung away. Double header – heck, that weekend was a whole season.
